Portland-based chef Gregory Gourdet started his culinary career working at the exclusive restaurant Jean Georges, rising to the position of chef de cuisine. But Gourdet also spent a lot of time at raves, taking large amounts of drugs and drinking. His addiction wound up derailing his career. Gourdet is also the kind of guy who does everything in a big way. So when he detoxed, he became a serious runner, competing in 50 marathons and ultra marathons.
